FOR LOLA MEDICAL FUND

We’re the firefighters of Engine Company 236 in East New York, Brooklyn — a proud, tight-knit, single-engine house. Today, we’re asking for help not for one of our own, but for our loyal companion and family member: Lola, our beloved firehouse dog.

Known as the Lady of Liberty Avenue, Lola has been a calming, loving presence through every late-night call, emergency run, and emotional shift. She greets us at the door, lays quietly by our boots, and reminds us every day what unconditional love looks like.

But now, Lola needs our help.

She recently began suffering from sudden and severe cluster seizures, and her condition is rapidly worsening. She was rushed for emergency care, and veterinarians suspect a serious neurological condition — possibly a brain tumor, insulinoma, or liver disease. To find out what’s causing this, Lola urgently needs advanced diagnostics, including:

    •    CT or MRI scans

    •    Neurological consultations

    •    Extensive bloodwork and lab testing

    •    Emergency care and seizure medications

The problem is, these life-saving steps are expensive — and beyond what our small firehouse can afford on our own. That’s why we’re turning to the community we proudly serve.
